Vegan or Plant-Based: The Label Debate Continues

Some products say vegan while others say plant based. There is a real debate about what these labels actually mean. Some brands use plant based to seem more mainstream and avoid the ethical side of veganism. Others say vegan means stricter standards with no animal products at all including in production. Clarity matters, for us as consumers and also because no one wants to buy a plant based product only to find hidden animal ingredients. Labels should be clearer and transparency is key. Great if brands can be more direct, so we know where we stand and what we’re buying, anyway no one likes sneaky marketing…
