Thistle Hotels , a chain of 32 hotels, recently became the first and only UK hotel group to achieve Vegetarian Society accreditation across all of its vegetarian menu options. More than a quarter of Thistle’s menu is suitable for vegetarians with dishes ranging from Sweet Potato and Spinach Curry to Panzanella Salad. “We’re extremely proud to be recognised as the only UK hotel group to offer vegetarians a wealth of excellent menu choices,” said Thistle’s food and beverage director, Robert Housden. “Thistle’s restaurants are going from strength to strength, and we are always looking for ways to develop our menus to offer even more choice and high quality options to all our diners.” An increasing number of individually-owned UK hotels, guesthouses and B&Bs are offering a 100% vegetarian experience including The Royal Hotel in Eastbourne, Coast in Cornwall, Marlborough House in Bath, Cheltenham Lawn Hotel in Cheltenham and Brambles in the Isle of White.
