Purim 2025 at JVS

Join us for Pre-Purim Fun: Baking, Stories & a Sprinkle of Fancy Dress. A cosy, laughter-filled time in the JVS kitchen awaits! We’re getting together the day before Purim to bake some mouth-watering vegan hamantaschen (yes, the ones with the delicious centres, sweet and savoury options). You’ll get to take them home—whether you share them or keep them all to yourself is entirely up to you. But this isn’t just about baking. It’s a chance to pause, connect, and chat about some of Purim’s deeper themes—identity, courage, standing up to injustice—all while rolling out dough and probably getting a little bit of flour on your jumper. Expect heartwarming stories, good company, and that unbeatable feeling of baking something with your own hands. Feeling Purim-y? Fancy dress is welcome! You don’t have to turn up in full costume, but if you fancy a mask or a splash of colour, go for it—it’ll only make things more fun. And speaking of fun, we’ll have music on, so if the mood takes you, a little dancing in the kitchen is highly encouraged. Come for the hamantaschen, stay for the community vibes, and leave with a full heart (and maybe a tin of treats). See you there!!
