If you’re heading off on a closer-to-home holiday this summer, don’t assume everywhere will cater for vegans, more so in rural spots. Brighton and London are brilliant for plant-based options. Ditto Bristol!! However, the countryside can still be a tad lacklustre, when it comes to variety or a single option e.g. plant milks. Packing a few essentials, think oat milk, snacks, even a jar of houmous, can be a game-changer. Always check menus in advance, and don’t be shy to call ahead. Apps like HappyCow are brilliant. Most importantly, be kind to yourself, if the options are limited, make the best of it, soak up the fresh air and being enveloped by nature.
