This is your chance to hear about our recent activities and future plans.
Our guest speaker this year is Ori Shavit. Ori is an Israeli food writer, food critic and leading promoter of the Israeli vegan cuisine and vegan culture, animal liberation and green lifestyle. She publishes recipes on her blog vegansontop.com, which has twice won the ‘Best Food Blog’ award from Time Out Israel. Ori also teaches vegan cooking classes and promotes veganism internationally. Ori will be joining us via a live Skype link up from Israel. We are excited to hear about Ori’s recent trips to the USA to promote veganism on university campuses, and to hear more about the vegan revolution sweeping across Israel.
Timings for the day:
The afternoon will commence with the AGM, which includes a report from our Director, followed by a talk by our guest speaker, with time for questions afterwards. Afternoon tea will be served after the meeting.
*This is a free event, open to JVS members and supporters. Booking is essential, please confirm your place via Eventbrite. We welcome donations on the day to cover the cost of the event. Booking closes on Thursday 27th April at 8.30pm.
