Sir Paul McCartney—yes, that Paul McCartney—just got extra vegan brownie points for plant-based coffee drinkers., across the pond. Peet’s Coffee, a huge US coffee chain, has scrapped its extra charge for plant-based milks after McCartney called them out.
The legendary Beatle argued that charging extra for non-dairy milk totally contradicted the brand’s sustainability goals. His influence clearly worked, and now oat, almond, and soy milk won’t cost extra.
This is a win for both the environment and people choosing dairy-free options. Hopefully, more coffee chains (looking at you… you know who you are) follow suit.
